A Legacy Built Brick by Brick
Doug Mantell, our founder and president, discovered his love for masonry as a young-man growing up in Europe, surrounded by medieval castles and intricate stonework. Inspired by their timeless beauty, his fascination quickly grew into a lifelong passion.
At just 18, Doug began honing his craft under the mentorship of John Arillaga, a renown real estate developer who helped shape Silicon Valley. With mentorship and a driver for excellence, Doug set out to build his own legacy. In 1983, he founded Mantell Masonry Construction Inc. in the Sacramento Area.
Over 40 years later, Doug's vision has become a proud family legacy, built on dedication, quality, a passion for the art of masonry - a tradition now carried on by the next Mantell generation.
